PMMA Intra Ocular Lens are the especially designed medical equipments that are made up of poly-methyl methacrylate which is a plastic acrylic material having a clear surface and is considered as an alternative of glass and is popular due to the shatter proof properties. These optical equipments are used for the treatment of cataracts or myopia. PMMA Intra Ocular Lens are implanted inside the eye by replacing them with the natural lens during cataract surgery. They can also be used for a type of vision correction surgery known as refractive lens exchange.
