Lacrimal Intubation & DCR Set is a small sized tube with a fine diameter which is placed within the nasolacrimal system to maintain patency. It is manufactured by using premium grade of silicone or another similar semi-rigid flexible material. It is widely used in dacryocystorhinostomy which is a procedure to restore the flow of tears into the nose from the lacrimal sac. Lacrimal Intubation & DCR Set can be used in the diagnosis of nasolacrimal obstruction which includes trauma, infection, malignancy, thermal injury, chemotherapy, radiation, and iatrogenic causes. It is self-retaining with minimal intranasal manipulation which permits the placement under local anaesthetic.
