HPMC PFS is a modified polymer with the help of chemicals which physically appears as an off-white compound which can be used as an alternative to gelatin and gluten in vegan-friendly products. It is widely used in the treatment of dry eyes and to reduce the irritation. It belongs to the group of the organic cellulose ether which is hydrophilic in nature that make the compound insoluble in water but soluble in organic polar solvents. HPMC PFS is biodegradable and biocompatible which can be used in wide range of applications such as cosmetics, adhesives, coatings, drug, dyes, paints, agriculture and textiles.
